Keep your watercraft or tender covered against theft and damage from attempted theft with our Comprehensive or Third Party Fire & Theft insurance policies.1
With this feature, under our Comprehensive policy, your watercraft or tender is covered for accidental damage caused by you or someone else.2
If you have told us that you use the watercraft for watersports and this is noted on your policy schedule, we’ll cover up to $10 million legal liability arising from an accident caused by the watercraft or tender being used for watersports (for example, water skiing), which results in injury or death, or damage to someone else’s property.19
If your watercraft or tender is being used (other than for watersports) and causes an accident that results in injury or death, or damage to someone else’s property, we’ll cover up to $10 million legal liability, with a maximum of $250,000 for claims arising from pollution caused by oil, fuel or waste as a result of an accident.19
Our Comprehensive policies include cover for damage to the watercraft caused by a storm, hail or flood.2
If your brand new watercraft is a total loss after an insured event within the first 2 years of ownership, we’ll replace it and its tender or pay you the replacement cost. If the replacement cost exceeds your insured value, the most we will pay is the insured value plus an additional 20%.4
If you have our Comprehensive or Third Party Fire & Theft watercraft insurance policy, you’ll be covered if your watercraft or tender is damaged by fire.1
After an insured event, we’ll pay the cost of salvaging the watercraft or tender. This includes towing and storage of the watercraft or tender to the nearest suitable place for safekeeping. We’ll also pay the reasonable costs to prevent or minimise further loss or damage. The most we will pay for each claim is $150,000.5
If your watercraft or tender is damaged in an insured event and is no longer safe to use, and you’re more than 100km from the place where it is usually kept, we’ll reimburse up to $1,000 combined for your emergency accommodation, transport, storage and repairs.6
We’ll cover the cost to replace or repair your watercraft or tender if someone (other than you, anyone acting with your consent, or anyone else who’s been given permission to use the watercraft) intentionally causes damage to it.2
If you’re accidentally injured while using your watercraft or tender where a claim has been accepted for loss or damage, and it has occurred within 12 months of the incident, we’ll cover you for up to $5,000 per claim, for your personal injury, or up to $10,000 per claim, if it results in your death (including funeral expenses).5
If you have our Comprehensive cover, your watercraft or tender will be covered for damage caused by an earthquake.2
It's not just your watercraft or tender we've got covered after an insured event; we'll look after your contents inside it too. Our Comprehensive and Third Party Fire & Theft policies have you covered up to $1,000 after excess, for loss or damage to your personal possessions you can also choose to increase your insured value by selecting Watercraft Contents Upgrade.7
Under our Comprehensive or Third Party Fire & Theft policies, if the keys to your watercraft or tender are stolen, we’ll cover the cost of recoding the locks or replacing the keys up to $1,000 after excess.1
If your watercraft’s signwriting is damaged due to an insured event, we’ll pay up to $500 to replace it.1
If your watercraft or tender suffers loss or damage due to an insured event, we’ll cover up to $1,000 per claim, for any unrecoverable mooring cancellation or re-booking fees you incur. The most we will pay in the contract period is $2,000 in total across all incidents.5
With our Comprehensive watercraft insurance, if you sell or give away your watercraft and replace it with another one, the replacement will be covered for up to 14 days from the date you sell or give away the watercraft, up to a maximum of $75,000. 20
Need counselling services? Youi covers up to $1,500 per person - including you and your household members - for counselling sessions needed after an incident where a claim has been accepted.3
