With all Youi Comprehensive car and Comprehensive motorcycle insurance policies, Youi Roadside Assist is part of the package. We’ve partnered with Digicall – one of Australia’s top roadside assistance service providers – to be there for you 24/7. Some exclusions, limits and fees apply – see the T&Cs and PDS for details.1
Our roadside service will jump-start your motorcycle or car battery. If we can’t, we’ll provide a replacement battery – subject to availability and for an additional cost – or tow your vehicle to safety.2
If our roadside service can’t get your vehicle back on the road, we’ll cover the cost of towing to the nearest accredited repairer – up to 20km from the breakdown site in metropolitan areas or 50km in regional areas. Certain exclusions apply, for example, we don’t tow vehicles over a total vehicle weight of 3.5 tonnes.1
If you’ve run out of fuel, Youi will arrange the delivery of up to 10 litres of fuel to help you reach the nearest petrol station. For LPG or electric vehicles, we’ll organise a tow to the closest service station, charging depot or safe location.3
If you get a flat, we’ll swap it with your spare tyre. Or, if your vehicle is towable, we’ll organise towing to an approved tyre outlet or the nearest safe location – up to 20km from the breakdown location in metro areas, and up to 50km in regional areas.1
If your keys are lost - but not stolen - or locked inside your vehicle, Youi car or motorcycle roadside assistance service will either arrange for the spare key to be delivered, help you gain access into the vehicle, or organise a tow if the vehicle is towable. The most we will pay for this service is $150.4
If your car breaks down while towing a caravan or trailer and can’t be driven, we’ll cover the towing of both vehicles to the same location, as long as they’re towable and you’re within your car’s towing limits. The combined weight of the car and caravan or trailer must be under 3.5 tonnes, and you must let us know about the caravan or trailer when you call Youi Roadside Assist.5
If your vehicle gets bogged, our roadside assistance will recover it, as long as there’s safe access for a standard two-wheel drive recovery vehicle and no other specialist equipment is required.
If your vehicle can’t be fixed on the spot and a taxi service is available in the area, we’ll cover up to $50 for one taxi ride to help you and your passengers get to where you need to go.

If you are a resident of VIC, you’ll still be covered if you break down in another state or territory. Our roadside service is generally available in all two-wheel drive accessible areas in mainland Australia and TAS.6

Towing distances of 20km apply in Perth, as well as all suburbs of Rockingham and Armadale. For the remainder of the State, towing distances of 50km apply.1

Youi Roadside Assist is an additional service included with Youi Comprehensive car insurance and Youi Comprehensive motorcycle insurance policies.1 The first two roadside assistance call outs within the contract period are included - for any additional call outs, you’re required to pay the fee shown on your policy schedule. Because Roadside Assist is an additional service, you won’t need to pay an excess to access the benefits.1
Yes, there is. Roadside assistance is not available within the first 24 hours of purchasing or upgrading to Comprehensive cover.1
Youi Roadside Assist is included with Youi Comprehensive car insurance and Youi Comprehensive motorcycle insurance policies only. It cannot be added to other levels of cover – such as Third Party Fire & Theft and Third Party Property Only – nor can it be purchased as a standalone product.
Yes, towing costs are included with Youi Roadside Assist, subject to certain exclusions and limits.1
Youi Roadside Assist is only available with our Comprehensive insurance policy – that’s our top level of cover for cars and motorbikes. Knowing that you can contact us day or night should you experience a breakdown or need a tow may give you some peace of mind when heading out on the road. It’s always important to read the T&Cs and PDS before purchasing any insurance policy, and you can call us between 7am-10.30pm, Monday to Friday, or 7am-8.30pm on Saturdays if you have any questions about Youi Roadside Assist.

If your car breaks down while towing a caravan or trailer, just let us know. As long as both are towable, Youi will cover the costs to tow both vehicles to the nearest safe spot up to 20km in a metro area or 50km in a regional area from the breakdown location – unless there is an insured event, in which case the policy towing coverage applies.1
We also offer separate caravan and trailer Comprehensive or Third Party Fire & Theft insurance which includes coverage for up to $1,000 per claim for unrecoverable caravan park cancellation or rebooking fees if your caravan or trailer suffers loss or damage due to an insured event, with a total of $2,000 across all incidents in the contract period.7
