We’re available any time of the day or night if you need to lodge a claim, with dedicated advisors there for you from start to finish during the claims process.
After an insured event, we’ll help cover the cost of demolishing and removing building debris from your property, along with fees for an engineer, architect or surveyor – up to 20% of the buildings sum insured amount.
If you’re moving home, we’ll automatically cover your contents for up to 14 days from the day you start your move to the new permanent address.
We’ll cover your building and/or contents against loss or damage caused by storm, including lightning, wind, hail, snow and flood waters.
If you’re a tenant in your home, know your landlord’s fixtures and fittings, and fitted carpets, are covered for loss or damage as a result of an insured event – up to 10% of the contents sum insured amount.
If you have more than one Youi policy and you, or your spouse or de facto, make a claim on them for the same incident (caused by a single event that occurs at the same address and time), only one excess will need to be paid, being the highest excess amount noted on the relevant policies.
If you can’t live at your home due to an insured event, we’ll pay the costs for your temporary accommodation for up to 12 months.
We’ll cover loss or damage caused by escaping water – whether it happens suddenly and without warning, or slowly over time and you could not reasonably have been aware of it.
