With a Comprehensive or Third Party Fire & Theft policy, you choose the insured value of the caravan.2 Your policy schedule will show the amounts and details of your insured property. This is the maximum we will pay for an insured event.

Youi offers three levels of coverage for trailers: Comprehensive, Third Party Fire & Theft, and Third Party Property Only. To get more information about our trailer insurance options, give us a call on 13 9684 or start a quote.

If your caravan is deemed a total loss (i.e. it has been stolen and not recovered, or it’s been damaged to the extent that it’s not economical or safe to repair), what happens next will depend on your policy. Our Comprehensive and Third Party Fire & Theft caravan insurance options provide total loss coverage for certain circumstances; for instance, if your caravan is stolen. Please check your policy or read the PDS for more information.

If your caravan is a total loss following an insured event within 2 years of it being bought new and registered or documented in your name as the first owner, we’ll replace it with a new caravan of a make, model and specification as close as possible to the insured one. If there’s no readily available replacement, we’ll pay you a cash equivalent amount. We’ll determine the cash-equivalent amount based on industry pricing guides.7

Where the cost to us to replace the caravan exceeds your insured value, the most we’ll pay under this cover is the insured value plus an additional 20%.

Any repairs to the caravan which we arrange, authorise and pay for will come with Youi’s quality guarantee for as long as you own the caravan.18

We include extra cover for contents inside the caravan up to $1,000 per claim after excess, with a maximum of $150 for perishable food.5 You can also choose to upgrade your level of contents cover.9

Note: contents cover is not available with Third Party Property Only policies.

We classify the way you use your caravan or trailer as follows:
